Dear Users,

We have launched this feature in the latest release of Illustrator, 24.2. I request you to try out this feature and give us your feedback.

Thanks,
Sanjit

Dear Users,

Hope you are well and safe during these uncertain times. We at Adobe wish you well.

I am glad to announce that we have completed this feature in Beta and are actively seeking your feedback to help us understand if this feature meets your workflow needs.

All the users who subscribed to our pre release program would have received an email from me to welcome you to our new Beta program. The new Beta program gives you access to the Large Canvas feature and also seeks your feedback through the survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7ZDMD5L

This survey link can also be accessed within the app.

For everybody else, I would ask you to join our pre release program (https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/85A6F544-2705-49BD-8314-DD549C6A1713#) and we will give you access to the new beta program. We hope each one of you is able to try the new build and give us feedback.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Stay safe,
Sanjit

Dear Users,

We have posted a new build called 24.1 under the downloads section of our pre release program (https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/85A6F544-2705-49BD-8314-DD549C6A1713#). Please give it a try.

We would like you to carry out the tasks while designing for large artworks and to check if the export options work as per your need.

For export workflows, please let us know if the pdf options works for all your needs.

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year and hope you have had a great start to the year.

As we continue to build this, I wanted to seek suggestions on another question we are seeking to validate:

Do you use raster formats for export (for ex: JPEG, TIFF, PNG) in large artworks? If yes, can you briefly describe the following:
1. Your workflow post export.
2. What maximum/minimum size of artboards you use?
3. What maximum/minimum resolution (ppi) you use?

We are making progress in this feature and I would like to inform you that we are looking to post another build mid next week on our Pre Release program (https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/85A6F544-2705-49BD-8314-DD549C6A1713#) under the section "Large Canvas Builds" to seek your feedback. Please keep the feedback coming to help us build this right for you.

Thank you.

We have posted our first build on our pre release program (https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/85A6F544-2705-49BD-8314-DD549C6A1713). Please join the program, try out our build and share feedback. We will be posting builds regularly with increased functionality as we move and incorporate your feedback on the same.

Thank you for upvoting this feature and sharing your workflows here. I want to let you know that we have been working on a solution to increase the canvas size limit and are in the process of having an early prototype build. As we build this feature, we wanted to solicit feedback on an early approach:

1. In the first step, we are looking to have 2 canvas sizes
a. The regular one at 227in x 227in (Max zoom: 64,000% and Min Zoom: 3.13%)
b. The large one at 2270in x 2270in. (Max zoom: 6,400% and Min Zoom: 0.313%)
Please let us know if there are workflows that restrict you at 6,400% level when you're working on large artwork. You will be able to start with a larger canvas or start from a regular canvas and move to a larger one as you create art.

2. Can you please share workflows that will require you to use a Pixel Preview Mode for large artworks?

We are setting up a video conference session at https://bluejeans.com/6719852091 on Wednesday, 27th of November, at 11 am EST. In that, we want to show an early prototype on our approach and solicit feedback.

Post that, I encourage you to join our pre-release program (https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/85A6F544-2705-49BD-8314-DD549C6A1713) where we shall be posting regular builds for you to try out the feature and send us your concerns.

I understand that the meeting time may not be convenient for all users, so please feel free to write to us at ShareWithAI@adobe.com with the subject : Large Canvas.

It will help if you can tell us about your workflow while you vote on this bug.

Would it help if there was a "virtual scale"? Say, if you could define a scale of 1:10 so that input fields accept bigger values, and exported files are at scaled size (10x in this case)?

Thanks,
Yogesh
