List Of Odd Jobs To Make Money
Clocking in to a 9-to-5 isn't the only way to make money. More and more people these days are doing odd jobs to earn extra income. Thanks to technology, nontraditional jobs that generate decent income have become more widely accessible than ever before.
In this article, we're going to go over five of the best places you can access on your computer or smartphone that have odd jobs you can do in your free time to earn extra money.
Best Websites and Apps to Earn Extra Income Doing Odd Jobs
I've been doing odd jobs for several months and have generated a stream of extra income from them. In fact, you'll find four of these apps on my phone right now. Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) was tested by another member of Team Clark, Michael Timmermann.
- Field Agent
- EasyShift
- Gigwalk
- Mechanical Turk
- Market Force
Of all the odd jobs apps and websites that Team Clark has tested, my favorites are Field Agent and EasyShift.
The reason these two apps stand above the rest is because of the number and variety of jobs they have available. Plus, both apps are super-easy to use. Let's start with Field Agent.
1. Field Agent
The Field Agent app pays you do to mystery shopping, market research and audits at retail stores. It is available for download for Android or iOS.
How it works: With Field Agent, you find odd jobs by looking at a list of various tasks. Once you accept the job, you have a specific time limit to get it done. Some of the recent job descriptions I've seen in this app are "Store Customer Service," "Battery Display Audit," and "FREE BEER."
How you get paid: As long as you complete the job in the allotted time, you will receive payment via direct deposit, debit card or bank account.
How much you can make: Field Agent pays between $3 to $15 for each job you complete. For the most part, the jobs typically take anywhere from a few minutes to 30 minutes to complete.

2. EasyShift
EasyShift shows you quality control tasks to be performed in your local area. These jobs range from taking photos of products to checking prices to reviewing promotions.
How it works: Once you download the app and sign up, you can choose between the Map and List view to see jobs at grocery stores and smaller food marts. Some of the recent job descriptions include "Warm Beverage Display Checks" and "Pet Food Checks."
How you get paid: Unlike many money-making apps, EasyShift pays you through PayPal, which means you don't have to share your bank account information with them.
How much you can make: You can get paid between $4 and $20 per "Shift," which is what they call a job.

3. Gigwalk
Download Gigwalk for Android or iOS to accept "Gigs" and travel to nearby businesses to complete them.
Examples of some of the jobs you can do with Gigwalk are "Cosmetics Audits" and "21 And Over Vapor Audits."
How it works: Once you pull up the map, you'll be able to choose jobs or "Gigs" that are located near your home. You'll typically only have hours to complete the Gigs, not days.
How you get paid: Once your Gig is approved, you get paid via PayPal.
How much you can make: In my experience, Gigs typically pay between $3 and $10 apiece. They can usually be done in 30 minutes or less, but you need to factor in time for travel.
Here's how Gigwalk turned out for me.
4. Amazon Mechanical Turk
Amazon Mechanical Turk is a site that lets you choose small jobs or, as they call them, Human Intelligence Tasks (HITs) to complete online.
The types of HITs you can do include transcription, data research and even identifying objects in photos and videos.
How it works: Once you sign up, you pick and choose the micro-jobs you want to complete and submit for payment. You'll have to get through a probationary period before you qualify for higher paying HITs. Once you've done that, you can accept multiple — even dozens — of jobs a day. Just remember that some jobs pay as little as 5 cents.
How you get paid: You must sign up for an Amazon Payments account to verify your identity, but you can designate your earnings to be deposited in a bank account or redeemed for an Amazon gift cards.
How much you can make: The amount you can make with MTurk varies with how much time you invest in it. Team Clark's Michael earned an average of around $7.30 an hour when he did 30 jobs over 30 days on the site.

5. Market Force
Market Force is a website that pays mystery shoppers to patronize businesses. You have to be approved for the site, but once you do, you can earn money by going to restaurants and eating out.
How it works: Once you gain access to the site, you'll be able to scan available "Shops." When you choose one, you'll have a few hours to complete the job and file a report about it.
How you get paid: Market Force pays you via check by default. If you want your money quicker via direct deposit, you'll have to hand over your bank account information.
How much you can make: A typical job will net you around $5, plus reimbursement for your meal.

Conclusion
My experience with these apps and sites showed me that money is easier to make than ever before, especially if you have a phone or computer.
Here's the thing, though: You will not get rich from any of these gigs and you probably will not make enough to quit your full-time job.
The key things I like about these companies are:
- They're free
- There's no hiring process
- They offer local work
- They're flexible
In general, the odd jobs you'll have available to you all offer the opportunity for supplemental income with relatively minimal effort.
